Admissions Overview – What You Need to Know
To be competitive, applicants should have the following:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum 3.00 cumulative & science GPA
- Prerequisite coursework in biology, chemistry, physics, English, behavioral sciences, and statistics
- MCAT score of 500+
- Clinical shadowing experience (DO physician preferred)

To get started, contact the Office of Admissions at TUN.COM.Admissions@touro.edu or call (702) 777-3240. Touro Nevada also hosts Experience Touro Tours, available both virtually and in person. All tour guests must RSVP in advance, and walk-in visitors are encouraged to schedule ahead of time since the campus is a closed campus and visitors must be accompanied by a TUN representative.
Beyond strong academics, Touro Nevada looks for applicants who demonstrate a genuine commitment to osteopathic philosophy and whole-person care. Competitive applicants typically have a cumulative GPA around 3.54 and a science GPA around 3.47, with an average MCAT score of 506.9 (minimum 500 required). The admissions team also evaluates physician shadowing experience (required), letters of recommendation including at least one from a DO or MD, experience in healthcare, leadership skills, and the likelihood of practicing in underserved primary care areas.
Yes. The application process operates on a rolling basis, meaning applications are reviewed as they arrive through AACOMAS and the Touro University Nevada secondary application. Applying early is strongly encouraged since seats are filled continuously throughout the cycle. The secondary application should only be submitted when you receive an email invitation to do so.
